XTnano Cost-Effective Replay System Deployed Throughout Asia-Pacific Region

Hong-Kong, 16 June 2011 - The cost-effective slow motion replay system from EVS, XTnano, has been massively deployed  throughout the Asia-Pacific region over the past few months. Introduced at NAB 2010, XTnano is a 4 to 6-channel live replay server offering EVS’ genuine speed and reliability with media exchange capabilities at at entry level price.

XTnanoAvailable in six channels, this new generation of  XTnano also supports 4 channels 3D and offers media-sharing capabilities with post-production.  With its GigE networking capabilities and XTract gateway application, audio/video (A/V) files can simultaneously be played and transferred to other EVS servers.

The system has been preferred by many broadcasters and production companies throughout the Asia-Pacific region to low cost unreliable systems. In Japan, the following corporations have opted for Xtnano:  Tochigi TV, Nissan Stadium, RCC and Panasonic AVC Networks Company. Local Chinese broadcasters ZJTV, Fuzhou TV, Guizhou TV and Chengdu TV as well as Korean JBC are now producing live slow motion with EVS’ nano replay. Recently, this system was chosen for live operations in Australia by VideoCraft as well as the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for the Victoria Racing Club production.

Overall, XTnano is EVS’ HD/SD server designed for live sports productions requiring simple workflows based on the company’s unique loop recording technology. It’s is the perfect toolbox for high-speed operations with maximum reliability. Built for multiple applications; such as ingesting A/V files, live feed recording, live slow motion and super motion, clipping and playlist playout control. XTnano natively supports DVCPRO HD and DVCPRO 50 codecs.
